Mange Treatment

Our treatment protocol for mange consists of the combined usage of neem oil (externally) and mange homeopathic (orally). The neem oil kills the mange mites on contact, while the mange homeopathic deals with the animal's constitutional predisposition to getting mange (this helps to reduce the likelihood of the mange recurring). We have received much positive feedback from customers who have used both of these remedies to treat their dog's mange, many of which had demodectic mange. Dog's who were practically hairless, with sores all over their bodies, were restored to fully coated healthy animals in a matter of two or three months.

Pure, unrefined Neem Oil from India (Azadirachta Indica). Miticide, insecticide, fungicide, nematacide, insect repellent. Known in India as "the village pharmacy" because of its many uses. Excellent external treatment for mange due to its ability to kill the mites that cause mange. Finally a safe and effective way to treat mange without resorting to harmful chemicals. Excellent for demodectic and sarcoptic mange (scabies).

Please note that our neem oil is high quality, therapeutic grade, with a minimum of 2200 ppm azadirachtin.

Mange directions:

Shampoo for mange, fleas, or head lice:

Mix ½ ounce neem oil with 8 ounces mild chemical-free shampoo. Shampoo twice/week.

Rinse for mange and fleas (if shampooing is undesirable):
Mix 1 ounce neem oil with 1 gallon water and few drops of mild soap or shampoo (to emulsify oil). Rinse animal twice/week.

Other applications:

Warts and moles:
Apply 1 drop of undiluted neem oil directly on wart or mole, once per day. Watch carefully for possible irritation. Continue for 2-3 weeks.

Psoriasis, eczema, cold sores, skin ulcers, athletes foot, fungal conditions etc.:
Mix 1 tablespoon neem oil with 4 ounces carrier oil such as almond oil or olive oil. Apply to affected skin twice per day. Watch carefully for possible irritation. Increase dilution if skin is sensitive.

Spray for indoor and outdoor plants, flowers and vegetables:
Mix 1 ounce neem oil with 1 gallon water and few drops of mild dish detergent (to emulsify oil). Spray foliage including undersides of leaves. Repeat every 2 weeks. This is an organic and bio-degradable insecticide and fungicide.

Storage:

This oil is naturally thick and solidifies even at room temperature. To liquify, place bottle in hot water for a few minutes. Store in cool dark place.

Caution:

Do test spot on skin to test for skin sensitivity. Some people and/or pets are sensitive to neem oil and require greater dilution (especially small children and babies). Avoid contact with eyes. For external use only. Keep out of the reach of children.
A few drops of lavender oil (or other essential oil) can be added to mixtures to mask the smell of the neem oil (neem oil has a smell that is similar to french onion soup).

Neem oil is appropriate for organic gardening and farming.
