Grapefruit Seed Extract is an unfiltered extract from the seeds
of organically grown grapefruit. It is an excellent antibacterial
and antifungal remedy that has been shown to kill various forms
of staph and strep bacteria.
Ingredients: 60% Grapefruit Seed Extract, 40% Vegetable Glycerine
USP
Directions
for People:
Internal
Use: (Never use full strength)
Orally:
(For colds/flu, sore throat, earache, and intestinal parasites)
Suggested Use: 5-15 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract mixed in
5 oz. of water or juice, 2-3 times daily, with or without meals.
Children (under 10 years): 1-6 drops mixed in 5 oz. juice, 2-3
times daily. Do not use full strength in mouth.
Dental
Rinse: (For gum disease
and bad breath)
Stir 3 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract into 2 oz. or more of
water. Vigorously swish a small amount of the water for 10 seconds
or more, 1-2 times daily. Always dilute.
Throat
Gargle: (For sore throat,
including strep)
Stir 3 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract into 3 oz. of water.
Gargle several times. Use as often as needed. Always dilute.
Ear
Rinse: (For earache)
Thoroughly mix 4-10 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract with 1
oz. of glycerine or olive oil. Put 1-2 drops of this solution
in affected ear 1-2 times daily and insert small cotton ball.
Use as often as needed. Do not use full strength in ears.
Female
Douche: (For yeast
infection)
Mix 5-10 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract in 6-8 oz. of water.
Douche once daily for one week. Douche more often if desired.
Always dilute.
External
Use: (Never use full strength)
Skin
Rinse: (For minor skin
irritation)
Dilute Grapefruit Seed Extract with water (5-10 drops per tablespoon).
Apply this solution directly to affected area twice daily. Do
not use full strength on skin.
Nail
Treatment: (For nail
fungus)
Dilute Grapefruit Seed Extract with water or alcohol (5-10 drops
per tablespoon). Apply this solution directly on surface of
nail along the cuticle and underneath the front of nail, twice
daily, or soak nails, twice daily. Continue for as long as needed
(nail fungus can require up to two months to treat).
Diaper
Rash Treatment: (For
yeast infection/fungus diaper rash)
Dilute Grapefruit Seed Extract with water (5 drops per tablespoon).
Apply this solution to baby's bottom with cotton ball, twice
per day, for as long as required.
Scalp
Treatment: (For itchy
scalp and dandruff)
Add 5-10 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract to each shampooing
(mix in hand with shampoo). Massage into scalp and leave on
for atleast 2 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with water.
Household
Use: (Antibacterial)
Toothbrush
Cleaner: (Especially
for after having a cold)
Stir 5-10 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract into a glass of water.
Submerge toothbrush for 15 minutes (or leave in between uses).
Rinse toothbrush before using. Change water and remix every
few days if desired.
Vegetable/Fruit
or Meat/Poultry Wash:
Add 30 or more drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract to a sink full
of cold water. Briefly soak any vegetables, fruit, meat or poultry.
Dish
and Utensil Cleaning Additive:
Add 15-30 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract to sink of dishwashing
water or to final rinse.
Cutting
Board Cleaner:
Apply 10-20 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract to cutting board
and work into entire board with a wet sponge or dish cloth.
Leave on for atleast 30 minutes. Rinse with water.
All
Purpose Cleaner:
Add 30-60 drops of
Grapefruit Seed Extract to any 32 oz pump sprayer filled with
water or cleaner. Use on all surfaces around the house.
Directions
for Pets:
Grapefruit Seed Extract can be
used for dogs and cats in many of the same ways as for people,
just reducing the dose to approximately 1 drop per 10 lbs of
body weight.
An antiseptic spray for disinfecting pet cages and kennels can
be made by diluting 50-100 drops of grapefruit seed extract
in 1 quart of water and put into a spray bottle. There is no
need to rinse the remove residue of GSE.
Grapefruit Seed Extract can be
added to virtually any topical preparation like shampoo, creams,
cat litter, etc.
